ABOUT OUR LODGE

My first memories of visiting the Lake District were as a young boy travelling to Lake Windermere on a family holiday, in the back of our car with our dog, Lassie. This was the first time I had visited the Lake District and I was instantly attracted by their beauty and dramatic landscape. As a child, we would often holiday at the Lake District, and although the joys of staying under canvas did have it's challenges at times I always looked forward to returning for our next adventure. All through my adult life I've always had a soft spot for the Lake District and in particular lake Windermere, Bowness-on-Windermere and Ambleside. I love going back to the lakes whenever I can and now find that my wife and children (and dog) all share my desire and as a family “we love the lakes”. One day we dream of buying a house in Windermere and opening our curtains to breath in the landscape of the lakes and mountains, but until then, we’ve taken the plunge and bought a beautiful holiday lodge at White Cross Bay just a few minutes from the water's edge of Windermere; which we think is in the perfect location for great family holidays, walks with our dog and exploring the many delights of the Lake District.

WINDERMERE HOLIDAY LODGE is a privately owned deluxe 3 bedroom, pet friendly self-catering holiday Lodge set in a stunning location at the award winning Holiday Park at White Cross Bay in the heart of Cumbria in the Lake District. It is located between Ambleside and Bowness-on-Windermere and only a few minutes walk from the waters edge and the shores of Lake Windermere, making it one of best situated lodges in the Lake District. White Cross Bay Holiday Park which has a restaurant, bar, shop, luxury indoor swimming pool, sauna and gym.

We ensure that our holiday Lodge is maintained to very high standards and is professionally cleaned with HEPA filters to ensure all our guests, including those who may have dog or pet allergies have a comfortable stay. Our Lodge has a large spacious living room, with two sofas, coffee table, gas fire and LCD TV. Dining area for 6 with electric panel heater. Well equipped kitchen including fridge freezer, microwave, toaster and full size gas cooker and hob. One double bedroom, and two twin bedrooms; one of which is better suited for children or younger teenagers. Highchairs, cots and irons are also available to rent from reception if needed. Our lodge also boasts a lovely sun catching balcony with a partially covered canopy (just in case it rains), with table and plenty of outside seating. Our holiday Lodge also provides parking for two / three cars plus a boat, with boat launching facilities into lake Windermere provided on the park itself. There is also a beautiful woodland dog walking area just a few minutes from our lodge.

Accommodation

• Open plan lounge and dining room. Feature fireplace. Comfortable furniture wooden dining table and 6 chairs
• Fully equipped kitchen. Gas oven and hob, fridge freezer, microwave oven, toaster and kettle. Iron and ironing board.
• 2 double sized bedrooms, dressing tables, drawers and fitted wardrobes. One has a double bed, the other two have twin beds.
• Private balcony / sun deck, with access from lounge with table and chairs. 
• Parking space for two /three cars alongside lodge with space for a boat / trailer. Boat launching facilities into lake Windermere.
• Bath room, with full size bath, shower, toilet and hand basin
• Duvets, pillows and bed linen are all provided so all you need to bring is your bath and bathing towels.
• Flat Screen Television with Freeview and some sky premium stations including Sky Sports One, Sky Family Movies and Nickelodeon
• Playstation 2 and games. A selection of indoor and outdoor games, DVDs, CDs, books, maps and fishing nets.
• Free Wi-Fi connection available via White Cross Bay Park
• An Iron and Ironing board is provided. Highchairs and cots are available at reception. Launderette facilities are also available onsite.
• Sorry - we don't allow groups under the age of 25 and Smoking is not permitted in our lodge.
